Job Summary
This role requires strong hands-on expertise in schematic design, PCB layout, hardware bring-up, and system-level debugging. Responsibilities include designing and developing electronic hardware for Industrial Automation products, translating system requirements into manufacturable hardware solutions, guiding schematic design and PCB layout, overseeing hardware prototyping and validation, and ensuring compliance with EMI / EMC and safety standards. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electronics or a related field with 12 to 18 years of experience in electronics hardware design, showing strong capabilities in circuit design, signal integrity, and communication protocols.
Required Qualifications
- BE / Equivalent in Industrial Electronics / Electronics and Telecommunication
- 12 to 18 years of Industrial Experience in Electronics Hardware Design and Development Domain
- Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design
- Hands-on experience in low-level signal conditioning, power management and thermal design techniques for analytical instrumentation
- In-depth knowledge of microcontroller / microprocessor interfacing with low-noise, low-power ADCs, DACs, and sensors
- Solid understanding of Control Loop Theory, signal integrity and proficiency in designing linear circuits and a wide range of signal conditioning techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of communication protocols including SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485, RS232, USB, HART, PROFIBUS and Ethernet
- Ability to take designs from schematic capture to working prototypes
- Hands-on experience with AC / DC power supplies
- Solid understanding of EMI / EMC / Safety compliance requirements and design practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in using test and measurement lab equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Expertise in EMI/EMC/Safety-compliant design, testing, and certification
- Knowledge & experience with industrial digital communication protocols (e.g. HART, Modbus, Ethernet based, Profibus, Wireless such as Bluetooth, LoRaWAN)
- Experience with low-power embedded systems and battery management
- Experience of Unit and Integration testing, performance measurement, Debugging and analysis of the assigned issues
