Job Summary
Lead technical design, development, and cloud migration of key applications for legacy refactoring within a Tech Debt programme. Oversee architectural alignment and quality assurance of critical artefacts, codebases, and documentation. Guide the architectural breakdown of technical debt into modern, scalable cloud components while partnering with client teams and external suppliers in a multi-supplier environment. Provide technical leadership for AWS migration projects, ensuring seamless transition to AWS infrastructure. This role involves embedded work alongside client teams and a broader programme network.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading technical delivery for application migrations to AWS cloud infrastructure
- Strong track record of working effectively in complex, multi-supplier project environments
- Demonstrated experience with integration design or overseeing integration-focused components
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, Struts, JSF) and core libraries (e.g., Apache Commons, Guava)
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and related tooling (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Swagger/OpenAPI)
- Prior experience delivering digital transformation or cloud projects within the UK public sector
