Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Tech RCIS assists with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under supervision, acting as scrub tech and circulator, operating imaging equipment, interpreting basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, preparing the lab and patient, transporting patients, and ensuring sterile technique. Responsibilities include teaching and orienting staff/students, monitoring patient status during procedures, troubleshooting equipment, managing supplies, and maintaining inventory.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- RCIS certified within eighteen (18) months of date of hire
- ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
