Job Summary
cardiovascular tech RCIS primary responsibility is to assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision, including operating imaging equipment, interpreting basic and advanced dysrhythmia/EKGs, assisting as monitor tech, scrub tech, and circulator during cath lab procedures, transporting patients, maintaining sterile technique, inventory control, and preparing lab for procedures; duties include teaching/orienting staff, assisting physicians, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring patient safety post-procedure; candidate should have an associate or bachelor’s degree in science or healthcare experience, ACLS and RCIS (to be obtained within 18 months), and ARRT and TX RT(R) credentials in lieu of RCIS; Methodist Celina Medical Center location in Sherman, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- RCIS certification to be obtained within eighteen (18) months of date of hire
- ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
- Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)
