Job Summary
Guide students through project-based learning in coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing, and robotics during after-school sessions from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Lead instruction with a 20:1 student-to-teacher ratio while transporting equipment across the Elk Grove Unified School District. Earn $20–$26 per hour with paid training and no formal experience required, though teaching or technology background is preferred. Join a team focused on igniting creativity and digital skills in children ages 8–14.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completed 48 college units minimally OR have taken and passed the NCLB Exam or compliant equivalent
- Reliable transportation throughout Elk Grove Unified School District with ability to transport approximately 30 lbs of equipment
- Must be available after school hours (approximately 2:00 - 6:00 PM), daily Monday - Friday
- Consistent attendance
- Instructors must be at least 21 years of age
- significant experience working with children ages 8-14 or technology
Desired Qualifications
- teaching experience in some capacity
- Experience with children in an educational setting
- Comfortable working with teacher-to-student ratios of 20:1 for elementary schoolers
- Strong technology skills, such as a background in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, etc.
- significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, including modding or streaming
