Job Summary
Diagnose problems and perform complex mechanical repairs on customer vessels, including engines, propulsion systems, and electronics, at dock or sea locations. Collaborate with the parts department to order necessary components, execute routine maintenance per established guidelines, and complete all work orders and time sheets accurately. Maintain a clean, safe work environment while adhering to quality standards and safety procedures. Work independently as required, utilizing diagnostic tools and basic computer navigation skills. Must be available for overtime, including weekends and holidays, with a valid driver's license and 5+ years of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 5+ years of related experience
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
- Ability to utilize laptop and portable diagnostic tools
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Dependable and trustworthy trait
- Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures
- Must be available to work overtime hours as required to complete repairs, including occasional weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree or certification in a diesel engine program
