Job Summary
Diagnose problems and perform complex mechanical repairs on customer vessels, including engines, propulsion systems, and electronics, at dock or sea locations. Collaborate with the parts department to order necessary components, execute routine maintenance per established guidelines, and complete all work orders and time sheets accurately. Utilize diagnostic tools and laptops to troubleshoot equipment while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and adhering to quality standards. Requires valid driver's license, 5+ years of related experience, and ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 5+ years of related experience
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
- Ability to utilize laptop and portable diagnostic tools
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Dependable and trustworthy
- Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures
- Must be available to work overtime hours as required to complete repairs, including occasional weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree or certification in a diesel engine program
