Job Summary
Assist nursing and provider staff with patient assessment, treatment, and transport in accordance with EMTALA regulations. Obtain and document vital signs, weight, height, blood glucose, and EKGs accurately. Perform CPR, AED use, splinting, wound care, and other delegated procedures within scope of practice. Set up sterile fields, apply monitoring equipment, and transport patients safely while maintaining continuous observation. Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record and actively participate in emergency preparedness drills, trauma activations, and code situations. This Full-Time role operates 7a-7p on a three-day, every-other-weekend rotation. Candidates must hold a current EMT-B license or active SRNA certification in Kentucky along with BLS.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current EMT-B license in the state of Kentucky or active SRNA certification in the state of Kentucky with no restrictions
- BLS
- Demonstrates competency in all clinical tasks
- Able to perform effectively in a high-stress area
- Follows oral and written instructions
- Works cooperatively, collaboratively, and communicates effectively
- SRNA or EMT license required
- 7a-7p, 3 days/week, every other weekend rotation
- Travel is not required

- Previous experience in the Emergency Department or EMS field
