Job Summary
Provide technical support to poultry producers, advising on building and equipment specifications, litter management, and farm sanitation. Conduct farm visits, document bird welfare, manage flock performance, and adjust equipment settings. Direct feed and lighting schedules; monitor bird health, egg production, and body weight; track feed consumption; collect blood and fat samples; coordinate bird placements; assist with catch schedules; maintain communication with hatchery, feed mill, vaccination crews, and live-haul teams. Ensure compliance with production contracts and USDA/government regulations to produce high-quality flocks efficiently and cost-effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year related experience
- Travel: Occasional travel (1–5 trips per year)
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency required
- Preferred: Prior poultry experience advantageous
