Job Summary
Operate commercial vehicles safely across intra-state and inter-state routes while adhering to all state and federal regulations, including traffic laws, hours of service, and hazmat transportation requirements. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of company equipment, ensure proper cargo securement, and load, unload, and secure freight as required. Maintain communication with dispatch, record ELD, VIR, trip, and dispatch information using company-provided IT equipment, and exhibit professional conduct with customers and team members. Work in a sleeper cab environment with a partner on several days long route assignments, traveling between service centers and meet-and-turn points. Continuous run schedules typically consist of 5 days on and 2 days off, with shifts varying by operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Valid DOT physical
- Required endorsements: Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Driving record reflecting no more than two moving violations in the past three years
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for days Monday through Sunday
- Must be available for AM/PM shifts
- Must be available for continuous run schedules
- Must be available for 5 days on and 2 days off schedule
