Job Summary
Greet customers with a positive attitude, assist with product selection, and process sales transactions accurately using the cash register. Operate the register to handle cash, credit cards, and provide correct change while ensuring accurate sales records and balances at shift end. Restock shelves, refrigerators, and displays; clean and sanitize the store including aisles, counters, and bathrooms. Monitor for security issues, report low stock, and assist with inventory control and counts. Adhere to safety protocols, follow manager directions, and handle emergency situations or seasonal snow removal as needed. Work flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand extended periods (up to 8 hours) during shifts
- Capable of lifting boxes and products, maximum 50 lbs., frequently 10-25 lbs., and carrying items across the store
- Ability to bend, squat, and reach for products on shelves, both high and low
- Ability to climb a ladder as needed
- Ability to walk throughout the store and between departments regularly
- Ability to handle cash, operate registers, and bag items efficiently
- Ability to work in cold environments, including freezers and refrigerators, when restocking products
- Mental focus and stamina to perform physical tasks consistently and efficiently throughout the shift
- Ability to handle emergency situations
- Ability to work alone
