Job Summary
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging positively with travelers, operating the point-of-sale system to process payments, and following all cash handling policies. Prepare and serve quality food while ensuring proper food safety procedures, including temperature checks and labeling. Stock, clean, and sanitize workstations and equipment, actively cross-sell products, and maintain solid knowledge of available items. Perform various kitchen tasks such as prepping, cooking, and packaging. Requires the ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds frequently. Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Applegreen USA operates over 80 travel plazas across the Northeast and Midwest offering a range of food options.
Required Qualifications
- Able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
- Frequently bend, twist, lift and carry at least 40 pounds
- Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
- Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
