Job Summary
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging positively with travelers, operating the point-of-sale system, and processing accurate payment transactions. Prepare and serve quality food while ensuring proper food handling, stocking, and temperature checks. Perform kitchen tasks including prepping, cooking, and packaging, plus clean and sanitize all workstations and equipment. Actively cross-sell products and maintain knowledge of available services. This role requires standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Applegreen USA operates over 80 travel plazas across the Northeast and Midwest offering a wide range of food options.
Required Qualifications
- Able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
- Frequently bend, twist, lift and carry at least 40 pounds
- Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
- Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Cash handling and customer service experience preferred
