Job Summary
Operate specified machinery and perform assigned activities within the manufacturing line, executing equipment changeovers, routine repairs, and malfunction troubleshooting. Conduct quality control tasks including metal checks, date code inspections, and waste performance logging while maintaining accurate shift support documentation and logbooks. Collaborate with maintenance teams to complete preventative maintenance and take corrective actions to solve root causes. Requires ability to lift 50 lbs, operate a forklift with OSHA certification, and read oral/written instructions. Must be willing to work rotating 223 day/night shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
- Willing and able to work varying/rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to troubleshoot & resolve issues
- Ability to read/comprehend written and oral instruction in the English language
- Ability to operate a forklift/OSHA certification
- Good listening and organizing skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, taking initiative with team along with other team members to train, motivate and solve problems
- Successful completion of a substance screening and background check
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years work experience within manufacturing or a technical and/or trade discipline
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting operating a variety of machines
- Knowledge of inventory control principles
- Possess valid drivers license
- Demonstrated competency in computer and PC software including MS Office and email
- Experience with SAP or other warehouse management systems
- Able to operate a computer and utilize the basic standard desktop systems and time keeping systems
- Understand production schedules, production computer systems, and work instructions
- Ability to follow escalation protocol
