Job Summary
Manage the cash register throughout the shift, ensuring money stays balanced and customers are assisted in a fast and accurate manner. Stock products on shelves, maintain a clean store environment, and provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to customers, vendors, and staff. Troubleshoot car wash issues as needed, prepare shift reports, and cross-sell products to increase store sales. Escalate high-priority issues to the immediate manager. Validate identification for tobacco and alcohol sales, perform basic math for change, and lift up to 50 pounds. Work flexible shifts across the store, gas stations, and car washes while adhering to safety policies and tolerating exposure to fumes and varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed
- Communicate verbally and in writing with various management on store operations in a quick timeline, especially if there are any changes or items that may adversely affect the store's operations
- Ability to read, understand, and write in the English language
- Perform basic math including proper calculation of change, etc.
- Have the ability to validate identification prior to selling tobacco and/or alcohol (as required under applicable laws and regulations)
- Can lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders as needed
- Ability to remain calm and respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures defined by company guidelines
- Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products
- Ability to work in various temperature environments (coolers, outside in various weather conditions, and in the station)
- Must be 18+ years old to work 1st and 2nd shift
- Minimum of 21 years old to work 3rd shift
