Job Summary
Oversee merchandise movement from receiving to truck loading, including beer, cigarettes, and kegs. Monitor team performance, enforce procedures, and verify inventory accuracy. Direct daily workflows, assign tasks, and solve operational problems while assisting the Supervisor/Manager with scheduling. Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely. Train team members and maintain warehouse cleanliness. Work overtime when required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of warehouse experience
- At least 1 year in a supervisory role in warehouse operations
- Must be able to lift/move Kegs averaging 170 pounds and up to 186 pounds
- Must be able to regularly unload product (case of beer) averaging 30 lbs. and up to 49 lbs.
- Able to operate all equipment safely and efficiently, including safe operation of a forklift
- Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment
- Able to work constructively under stress and pressure
- Knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations and laws
- Knowledge of appropriate material handling techniques
- Knowledge of computers
- WMS proficient
- Basic skill with Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word
- Able to communicate clearly to various levels of people
- Is an active listener
- Able to organize, plan and prioritize work
- Able to identify and resolve problems as they occur
- Able to make sound, pragmatic, and timely decisions
- Possesses numerical reasoning skills
- Able to attend accurately to details
- Knowledge of product i.e. code dates, special handling needs, etc.
- Able to interact well with others and build effective working relationships with managers and employees
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
