Job Summary
Greet customers, craft espresso-based drinks, and process payments while maintaining coffee station cleanliness. Prepare avocado toast and pastries, deliver orders to guests, and restock ingredients and supplies. Clean and sanitize counters, sweep floors, wipe tables, and return dishes to the kitchen to uphold health and safety standards. Support baristas and kitchen staff during peak hours and manage to-go and delivery orders. Work various shifts, holidays, and weekends with a positive attitude. La La Land Cafe is a movement dedicated to spreading kindness and inclusivity through exceptional service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- A naturally positive attitude and a genuine love for connecting with people
- Previous work experience as a Barista or Customer Service
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations
- Basic math skills
- Ability to gauge customers' preferences
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, holidays and weekends
- Food handler certification
- Standing (90%) – Extended periods throughout the shift
- Walking (15%) – Assisting team members and customers within the café
- Bending/Reaching (20%) – Retrieving products, stocking shelves, and cleaning workspaces
- Lifting/Carrying (20%) – Carrying objects up to 25 lbs., including supplies and inventory
- Reaching (3%) – Accessing storage areas above shoulder level
