Job Summary
Inspect aerospace engine components using CMM measurement, visual and dimensional checks, and EASA Form 1 issuance within the Engine Overhaul Services facility in Derby. Interpret repair documentation, engine manuals, and written specifications to guide test specimens, while resolving production and development issues collaboratively with the team. Operate as an integral part of the Module Inspection strip and build department to maintain quality standards and deliver global repair capability. Requires an advanced level engineering apprenticeship and NVQ/SVQ Level 3, with experience in component inspection and engineering drawings. Full-time overlay shift pattern covering 20 hours daily, 365 days a year.
Required Qualifications
- Completed an advanced level engineering apprenticeship
- NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent
- Experience of component inspection
- Ability to understand engineering drawings
- Ability to understand repair documentation
- Ability to understand manuals
- Capable of maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Acknowledging all HSE (health, safety, and environment) and COSHH factors
- Able to work to deadlines
- Achieve performance and project targets
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Inspection experience
- Experience with operating/programming CMM
