Job Summary
Manage, coach, and develop the learning and development team to deliver effective, consistent, and business-aligned training programs across the organization. Champion Murdoch's Mission, Values, and Principles by embedding them into learning programs, leadership expectations, communications, and day-to-day team member development practices. Develop clear learning pathways supporting growth from Retail Associate through Regional Manager, including onboarding, role readiness, and career progression. Organize and maintain accurate, accessible training materials, playbooks, job aids, and digital resources. Partner with Operations, Human Resources, and subject matter experts to identify development needs and create learning solutions that improve team performance and customer experience. Design, facilitate, and continuously improve training programs focused on leadership, customer service, product knowledge, and operational execution. Measure training effectiveness, engagement, and retention to evaluate program impact and guide continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Education, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Learning and Development, Organizational Development, or a related discipline
- Previous retail operations leadership experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience designing, facilitating, and improving training programs, leadership development experiences, onboarding resources, customer service initiatives, and organizational change efforts
- Ability to partner effectively with Operations, Human Resources, subject matter experts, and leaders at all levels to identify development needs and create practical learning solutions
- Strong organization, project management, and program administration skills, including the ability to manage timelines, training calendars, materials, reporting, and multiple priorities
- Excellent written, verbal, and facilitation skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and easy-to-use training content and communications
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, learning management systems, digital learning platforms, and related reporting tools
- Proficient with or able to learn AI tools, large language models, and image/video generation tools to support content creation, knowledge sharing, and training delivery
- Ability to travel as needed
- Must live within a 40-mile radius of the corporate office
