Job Summary
Welcome guests, take orders using the POS system, and bag hot bagels to ensure accurate presentation. Maintain a clean front-of-house environment while communicating menu offerings and seasonal specials. Support efficient shop operations by assisting teammates during peak and off-peak periods and collaborating with kitchen staff to maintain smooth order flow. Adhere to Department of Health standards and food safety procedures to support an "A" inspection grade. Participate in cross-training across multiple shop stations to gain exposure to both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Weekend hours are between 6:30am and 2:30pm. Training is provided for those without prior restaurant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand and move continuously for extended periods during scheduled shifts
- Ability to frequently lift and carry items up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as reaching, bending, lifting, and handling food service items and supplies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment with frequent interaction with guests and team members
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by shop operations
- Weekend working hours will be between 6:30am - 2:30pm
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or food service environments is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks during busy service periods
- Positive attitude and willingness to help teammates and support shop operations as needed
- Reliability, accountability, and willingness to learn new skills and stations within the shop
- Commitment to providing a welcoming and memorable guest experience
