Job Summary
Greet guests upon entry and provide prompt, friendly service throughout their visit. Operate the Point-of-Sale system accurately, including processing transactions, applying discounts, verifying rewards, and conducting age verification for alcohol and tobacco. Maintain Responsible Vendor status by checking proper identification and promoting ABC's wine, spirits, beer, and cigar selection. Assist with merchandising, restocking shelves and beer coolers, and organizing store deliveries. Keep the sales floor, stockroom, and customer-facing areas clean, safe, and organized by sweeping, collecting shopping carts, and performing routine restroom cleaning. Provide wrapping service, assemble custom gift baskets, and offer carryout support. Stay current on required training, company policies, and product knowledge to ensure compliance. Report to work as scheduled for flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs demand
- Maintain regular and predictable onsite attendance
- Reliable onsite attendance
- Standing and moving about for extended periods (up to 8 hours or more)
- Bending, lifting, and twisting (BLT) to move product and assist with merchandising
- Lifting and/or transporting up to 40 lbs. throughout the store and stockroom
- Use of ladders and step stools to access merchandise stored at varying heights
- Visually inspect product labels, signage, and displays to ensure accuracy and presentation
- Detect and respond to visual cues such as Guest gestures, product placement, or safety hazards
- Working in or with elevated locations and tools (e.g., ladders, stockroom)
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions while maintaining the property or assisting Guests
- Exposure to fumes or airborne particles when using cleaning solutions or supplies
- Exposure to refrigerated temperatures (32–41oF) when stocking or retrieving product in the cooler
- Moderate noise level in the work environment
- Maintain Responsible Vendor status throughout employment for alcohol & tobacco purchases
- Check proper forms of identification for age verification
- Stay current on required training, company policies, and product knowledge
