Job Summary
Process payments for goods, itemize purchases, and verify credit acceptance while maintaining high customer service standards. Balance cash drawers, receive merchandise, stock shelves and coolers, and control inventory through proper transaction record keeping. Perform light paperwork duties, maintain a safe and clean working environment, and ensure professional appearance and grooming standards. Operate a computerized Point of Sale system, work alone, and handle exposure to extreme temperatures and cleaning chemicals. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and work in a fast-paced environment. Weekend and holiday availability required.
Required Qualifications
- Some high school or equivalent with the ability to read and perform math
- Ability to read, speak and understand English
- Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction
- Ability to interact with customers on a friendly basis and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be available to work weekends and holiday
- Must be able to work any area of the store when needed
- Must be able to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to handle exposure to extreme temperatures and cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to work alone
