Job Summary
Load and unload trucks, operate forklifts and vehicles, pick orders, and stage finished product for shipping. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, maintain delivery vehicles, and clean the operating facility to ensure a safe, sanitary work area. Communicate with operators from other shifts, respond to management regarding delivery status, and participate in physical inventories to verify stock. Maintain accurate records, documents, and files while adhering to company policies and work instructions. Mandatory overtime may be required with or without advance notification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to adhere to safety practices
- ability to operate equipment used in warehouse operations
- ability to operate standard office equipment including pertinent software applications
- ability to prepare and maintain accurate records
- basic math knowledge
- ability to understand written procedures
- ability to write routine documents
- ability to speak clearly
- ability to understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions
- basic computer use
- basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- knowledge of safety practices and procedures
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- ability to regularly stand
- ability to frequently walk
- ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- ability to occasionally talk or hear
- ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
- ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- ability to perform overhead work
- ability to have close vision
- ability to adjust focus
- ability to be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
- ability to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration
- ability to tolerate moderate noise levels
- Mandatory Overtime with or without advance notification
- Third Shift availability (Sunday from 9:39 PM to 6:21 AM and Monday through Thursday from 10:39 PM to 6:21 AM)
- ability to work Friday night if overtime is required
