Job Summary
Load and unload trucks, perform order picking, repacking, and sequencing while maintaining quality control to ensure no damaged product ships or enters. Operate vehicles including forklifts and trucks to transport materials, conduct preventive maintenance on equipment, and stage finished product for loading. Clean the facility, manage waste, and participate in physical inventories to verify stock levels. Cross-train across various operating areas to support efficient warehouse operations. Mandatory overtime may be required with or without advance notification. The role supports BLG Logistics' third-party logistics services across Europe, America, and Africa.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to adhere to safety practices
- ability to operate equipment used in warehouse operations
- ability to operate standard office equipment including pertinent software applications
- ability to prepare and maintain accurate records
- basic math knowledge
- ability to understand written procedures
- ability to write routine documents
- ability to speak clearly
- ability to understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions
- basic computer use
- basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- knowledge of safety practices and procedures
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- ability to regularly stand
- ability to frequently walk
- ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- ability to occasionally talk or hear

- ability to transport a variety of items (e.g. records/files, supplies, equipment, materials, testing materials, etc.)

- ability to package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
- ability to stage finished product for loading
- ability to load and unload delivery trucks
- ability to move materials to warehouse storage
- ability to participate in physical inventories
- ability to respond to Team Leader (and or management) for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the status of deliveries
- ability to maintain documents, files and records (e.g. tracking on line shipping, equipment transfer forms, etc.)
