Job Summary
Directs patient care services for the nursing home team, oversees admissions reviews and eligibility, collaborates with team and attending physicians on palliative care measures, ensures timely recertification decisions and discharge planning, monitors service types and staffing 24/7, leads interdisciplinary plan updates, participates in on-call rotation, supervises and mentors staff, ensures documentation quality for regulatory compliance, drives quality improvement and patient/family satisfaction efforts, manages scheduling, payroll related tasks, and cost containment, and supports professional development. Requires RN license and a Bachelor's degree is preferred; two years supervisory experience in healthcare is part of the qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license to practice in the state where the VITAS program is located
- Two years supervisory experience or equivalent in a health care organization
