Job Summary
Lead the unrack/packing team on 2nd shift to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operation of unrack and packing lines and the drying station. Coordinate daily activities, coach team members, and maintain strong communication across shifts with crane operators and material handlers. Drive productivity, quality, and workflow, assign tasks based on staffing, monitor safety and housekeeping, collect production data, assess performance and training needs, and support additional duties as assigned. Requires leadership experience, ability to motivate others, strong interpersonal and communication skills, basic math and data-entry capabilities, and adherence to safety and quality procedures. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance; physical, fast-paced manufacturing environment; Monday-Friday 3:00 pm–11:00 pm with mandatory overtime as needed. Start pay: $19.80 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Prior leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate team members
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to operate department tools and equipment
- Understanding of unrack/pack processes and production flow
- Ability to follow and enforce safety and quality procedures
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to adapt and perform in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Persistence and resilience when facing challenges
- Must pass all required training, certifications, and qualifications
- Must consistently meet performance and safety expectations
