Job Summary
Responsible for training and leading team members to deliver an exceptional guest experience, including ensuring great tasting/quality food, executing on guest expectations, and ensuring compliance with JIB procedures, systems and standards. Responsibilities include coaching and developing team members, ensuring cleanliness and food safety, managing front-of-house and back-of-house duties, executing order taking and cashiering during busy times, maintaining brand standards and guest service excellence, and leading the team to provide quick, accurate service while upholding labor and safety policies. The role emphasizes leadership, guest-focused service, teamwork, problem solving, and adherence to JIB policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Experience – 6 consecutive months JIB experience and 100% certified in all workstations for internal promotes, or 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must complete Team Leader training classes
- In certain states, ServSafe certification may be required
- Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English; may require ability to speak another language depending on location
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups of people; strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proven leadership and coaching abilities; self-starter with initiative and responsibility
- Basic knowledge of personal computers and related software applications
- Ability to manage cash handling and POS transactions
- Ability to supervise and train team members across multiple roles (FOH/BOH)
- Ability to perform basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Willingness to comply with Jack in the Box policies and standards
