Job Summary
Team Leader responsible for training and leading restaurant team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences, uphold JIB standards, and ensure fast, accurate service across front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Leads by example in guest interactions, coaching on the JIB Hospitality Model, maintains cleanliness and safety, ensures order accuracy and food quality, supports daily briefings and staffing, and drives consistent, high-quality service during peak times. Key focus areas include guest satisfaction, staff development, adherence to policies, cash handling, and leveraging POS systems to manage orders and throughput. Requires restaurant supervisory experience or 6+ months at JIB with full workstation certification, strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to train and motivate a diverse team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience – 6 consecutive months JIB experience and 100% certified in all workstations for internal promotes, or 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must complete Team Leader training classes
- In certain states, ServSafe certification may be required
- Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English; may require ability to speak another language to guests based on location of restaurant
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to perform and understand basic math concepts; ability to work well with diverse groups of people; proven analytical skills; good organization and planning skills
- Self-starter who takes initiative and willingly accepts responsibility
- Basic knowledge of personal computers and related software applications
- Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior
