Job Summary
Team Leader - Support and Connect to provide operational leadership and practice guidance to the peer workforce across the Yarra Ranges and Maroondah Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals. Lead, develop, and advocate for the lived experience workforce, champion Intentional Peer Support (IPS) principles, support a community-based mental health service focused on connection, choice, and recovery, and travel across local sites as required to support culturally safe, collaborative services for participants, carers, and the wider community.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (mental health, community services, peer work or equivalent) with relevant experience, or a lesser formal qualification with substantial experience in mental health
- Completion of Intentional Peer Support Core or Advanced Training
- Experience in a Team/Senior Leader or Management role
- Completion of Consumer Perspective Supervision Training, or willingness to undertake
- Current valid Driver’s License and the ability to undertake travel
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Right to Work within Australia
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check (valid within the last 12 months)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
