Job Summary
Lead the department in safety initiatives including PPE, monthly safety topics, safety committee participation, and incident investigation. Assign work tasks to associates based on demand, ensure all production is completed on time, and monitor KPIs to adjust manpower or work as needed. Establish and maintain standard work procedures while training and developing associates. Participate in continuous improvement events and update the team on department results. Transfer between tasks where demand requires it. Requires high school diploma, 12 months of company experience, and knowledge of the countertop industry. Full-time role with physical demands including extended standing and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of countertop industry
- 12 months' experience within the company and /or equivalent previous experience
- Ability to work in safe manner
- Ability to plan, organize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to do the work of the position with minimal supervision
- Required standing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions
- Lift and carry items that weigh up to 50 lbs
- Ability to move, maneuver, push, or slide items for proper position
