Team Leader/Social Work Supervisor - Community Guardian Program

Job Summary
Lead assigned team members, including caseworkers, accountants, and interns, to ensure client needs are met while adhering to New York State Supreme Court orders, contractual obligations, and agency policies. Supervise daily operations by initiating client case conferences, developing service plans, and coordinating emergency coverage rotations with 24-hour, 7-day backup support. Liaise with physicians, psychologists, and Adult Protective Services staff to facilitate client evaluations and treatment, while monitoring Medicaid certifications and ensuring monthly client contact. Manage team hiring, discharging, and performance evaluations with annual written reviews, and arrange mandated training for all social work staff. Maintain departmental policies, quality assurance standards, and environmental safety protocols in a business office environment.
Required Qualifications
- MSW or equivalent
- four to ten years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer literate
- ability to work with a range of computer programs including financial data base such as Quicken and Quickbooks, Lotus 1-2-3 or other general ledger software, spreadsheets, databases, check printing programs, and word processing programs, as well as Microsoft Suite
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to multi-task and work independently with a great attention to detail
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions, wet and humid conditions
- Occasional exposure to unsanitary conditions in client homes
