Job Summary
Review project documents, reconcile completed works, and prepare balance works lists to drive project closure activities for the final phase of a road project in Sri Lanka. Chair stakeholder meetings, document discussions, and manage contractor claims under FIDIC Yellow Book conditions. Restructure supervision team schedules, mentor staff, and coordinate contractual correspondence to ensure full compliance with the consultancy contract. Lead the team through pending contractor claims, balance work submissions, and final deliverables to optimize available resources and strengthen operational systems.
Required Qualifications
- professionally qualified BSc Civil Engineer
- post-graduate qualifications
- minimum of 20 years of professional experience in highway and bridge construction
- at least 5 years of experience as a Team Leader in construction supervision of post-tensioning box girder bridges and/or elevated highways
- Thorough familiarity with FIDIC contract provisions
- Proven experience managing contractor claims
- Experience with projects implemented under FIDIC Yellow Book Conditions of Contract
- Demonstrated proficiency in project closure procedures for large-scale infrastructure projects
- Ability to work in a self-directed and disciplined manner
- Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary professional teams on projects of similar scope and complexity
- Strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills
