Job Summary
Conduct assigned checks to ensure program compliance and safe environments, including van security, cleanliness, and equipment verification. Provide direct care and advocacy for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assisting with activities of daily living, transportation, and virtual services while documenting all interactions in ICare Manager. Lead DSPs through training on ratios, person-centered plans, and mentoring to support program quality. Implement corrective measures for incidents and collaborate with management to develop efficient processes. Drive personal or agency vehicles for community transportation and cover virtual services as needed. Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing training to uphold dignity and participant rights.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent in work experience
- Valid Driver's license, no more than 3 points on driving record and 3+ years driving experience
- Minimum of 1 years' experience working with people with intellectual and physical disabilities (may include personal experience from having a family member or member(s) with a disability)
- Able to perform with autonomy, as well as in a team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
- Lifting/transferring approximately 50 to 100 pounds (usually with assistance)
- Pushing/pulling (i.e. wheelchair) 100 pounds
- Frequent standing; walking; sitting; squatting; bending; reaching; fine motor skills
Desired Qualifications
- Be a Certified Medication Technician or can become a Certified Medication Technician
- Smart phones with internet capability and basic knowledge of the internet, apps, email and GPS
