Job Summary
Production Team Leader is responsible for supervising daily production schedule execution and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and RPC standards, while maintaining a safe, clean environment that promotes quality, productivity, and a positive RPC-employee relation. Responsibilities include training line leads and line employees on GMPs, SOPs, safety, and job expectations; resolving employee issues through the grievance process; promoting continuous improvement; ensuring production records are completed per RPC policies; and supporting bilingual communication (English/Spanish, plus Asian languages). The role requires knowledge of SAP, strong math, and the ability to operate machinery, document results, and lead a team across 3rd shift (10:30 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.) with first-shift training during the initial two months.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent (GED)
- 5 years Food Manufacturing experience (Minimum)
- 2 years Supervisory experience (Minimum)
- Knowledge of SAP or similar systems
- Strong math skills
- Speak, read, and write English (Spanish is a Plus)
- Basic computer skills
- Effective Communication Skills (Will direct English, Spanish, and Asian speaking employees)
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to operate machinery and equipment
- Ability to document and measure results
- Ability to supervise and motivate others
- Teamwork building skills
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
- Ability to follow procedures
- Bi-lingual a plus
