Job Summary
Lead the production line by following the Production Supervisor's directions, assigning and instructing personnel on daily duties, and ensuring timely and accurate setup and operation of equipment. Responsible for observing equipment, reporting malfunctions or safety concerns, providing timely feedback to the supervisor, assisting with training and development of staff, conducting ergonomic evaluations, and supporting new hire evaluations. Must be available to work before start time and flexible to work weekends, overtime, and holidays. Emphasizes adherence to safety, USDA, and GMP policies, maintaining a clean work area, and effective communication of instructions. Demonstrates leadership with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment and to perform physical duties as required, including lifting up to 50 pounds and operating processing equipment. English proficiency is preferred; bilingual in English/Spanish is an added asset.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass a background check, drug screen and pre-employment physical
- Must be able to use basic math and typing skills
- Must be willing to work overtime and flexible shifts as required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and possess good leadership skills
- Must have working knowledge of all positions on the line
- Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Some positions may require the ability to read, write, and/or speak English. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
