Job Summary
Team Leader in Butterball's production environment supports the Supervisor by assigning daily production duties, monitoring equipment for malfunctions and safety issues, providing timely feedback, coordinating setup to ensure the line runs on time, completing checks and measurements accurately, and assisting in training and developing staff. The role also involves assisting with ergonomic evaluations, participating in new hire evaluations, and being available to work before shift start, with attendance discipline and flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays. Essential skills include adherence to safety, USDA, and GMP policies; effective communication; ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based food-processing setting; physical capability to handle the job's demands; and basic math/typing proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen and pre-employment physical.
- Must be able to use basic math and typing skills.
- Must be willing to work overtime and flexible shifts as required.
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere and possess good leadership skills.
- Must have working knowledge of all positions on the line.
- Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
