Job Summary
Authorise and oversee international payment and trade finance transactions, ensuring compliance with Exchange Control, AML, KYC, and UCP regulations. Review, approve payments within delegated authority levels, and monitor adherence to service level agreements and internal controls. Provide guidance on trade finance solutions including Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, and Documentary Collections while supporting business development initiatives. Lead and develop team members through performance reviews, coaching, and resource allocation to achieve departmental objectives. Monitor operational risks, errors, and revenue leakages, implementing corrective actions as required by audit processes.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Studies, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years' supervisory experience within a Trade Finance, International Banking, or International Payments environment
- Proven knowledge of international banking products and services
- Strong experience in cross-border payments and trade finance instruments, including Letters of Credit, Guarantees, and Documentary Collections
- Sound knowledge of Trade Finance and International Payments operations
- Strong understanding of Exchange Control regulations and international banking practices
- Knowledge of AML, KYC, and risk management principles
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
