Job Summary
Lead the Mobile Power Value Stream by operating within a team-based manufacturing cell while providing ongoing guidance to production associates. Maintain 5S standards and update Daily Management boards, ensuring a safe environment through immediate reporting of concerns and retraining associates on safety behaviors. Assume the lead role for quality issues, problem-solving defects, and conducting training sessions on standard work, machine operations, and daily priorities. Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to identify improvements, communicate concerns to supervision regarding personnel or delivery, and interface with shift leaders to pass relevant information. Lead by example through coaching on safe work practices and time management, notifying supervisors if coaching is ineffective. Subject to standard overtime scheduling and rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be considered current 'expert' in the area
- Must be considered a 'Champion of Lean'
- Previous experience required
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as general business periodicals, safety rules, quality instruction and process documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, technical and procedure manuals, and business correspondences
- Ability to write routine reports, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and business correspondences
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees and managers, customers, clients, and the general public
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must stand 100% of the day
