Job Summary
Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and coaching to Peer Crisis Support Specialists during assigned shifts. Coordinate daily operations of the Living Room and Community Outreach Recovery Supports programs, monitoring staffing, guest flow, and environmental safety needs. Serve as the primary point of contact for operational concerns, guest issues, and emergent situations while modeling trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and person-centered practices. Support staff in crisis intervention, de-escalation, wellness planning, and problem-solving with guests experiencing behavioral health challenges. Facilitate recovery groups, wellness activities, and educational opportunities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant completion of all documentation. Collaborate with internal programs and community partners to support continuity of care and successful transitions for guests.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support program operations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field preferred
- Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) designation preferred
- Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) certification preferred or the ability to obtain certification within organizational expectations
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or shift lead experience preferred
- Knowledge of recovery-oriented systems of care, trauma-informed practices, and peer support principles
- Strong interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively support individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, or behavioral health crises
- Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners
- Demonstrated ability to provide coaching, mentorship, and support to staff
- Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation systems
- Ability to maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, culturally responsive, and recovery-focused environment
- Lived experience with mental health recovery and/or substance use recovery is highly valued
