Job Summary
Lead the manufacturing team on the shop floor by coaching hourly associates to meet safety, quality, service, and cost objectives using the Hollister Production System. Drive issue resolution to achieve daily targets, conduct performance reviews, and ensure all training is completed and recorded. Monitor critical KPIs, efficiency, and scrap reports while facilitating shift hand-offs and team meetings. Manage staffing levels, maintain cross-training matrices, and interview candidates for team positions. Provide a safe work environment by investigating incidents and addressing quality issues through corrective actions. Spend at least 70% of time on the floor managing performance and confirming standards. Participate in Tier meetings and assist in improving machine production rates based on equipment performance.
Required Qualifications
- Spend at least 70% of the time on the floor managing performance, coaching Associates and confirming appropriate standards are being followed
- Bachelor's Degree Highly Preferred
- Three (3) years of working experience in a formal or informal leadership position (shift leader, group leader, management resource, etc.) is preferred
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain trust in a team environment
- Critical Thinking and problem solving techniques (5-Y, etc.) preferred
- Lean Production System/Operational Excellence (5S, LSW, VPM, etc) preferred
- Familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems and shop floor data acquisition preferred
- Medical Device or other FDA related manufacturing experience preferred
