Job Summary
Team Leader at Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan overseeing store operations in Kalamazoo/Three Rivers. Responsibilities include delivering customer service excellence, leading team to meet and exceed sales goals through service, production, merchandising, and accurate business practices; maintaining in-store stock levels and rotation, reporting variances; managing cash handling procedures; training team members; following safety guidelines; performing additional duties as assigned. Requires leadership ability, cash handling experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to train others; education: high school diploma or equivalent preferred; must be able to lift 35 pounds, work varied hours to open/close the store; must have reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license; must pass drug screen and background check.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated competence in interpersonal relations, leadership and problem solving
- Demonstrated experience in cash handling
- Strong reading, writing, speaking and communication skills
- Strong mathematics skills related to retail operations
- Ability to train and explain processes to others
- Ability to motivate self and others
- Previous team leadership experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and theft-related background check
