Job Summary

Operational Leadership: Lead and supervise a busy catering brigade across Bracknell Campus to deliver market-leading customer service, act as a Critical Friend, and mentor the team. Service Excellence: Ensure seamless delivery of Partner Dining Room and function services with impeccable presentation and cleanliness. Commercial Management: Drive sales and manage food and sundry costs, identify opportunities for efficiency. Administrative Oversight: Oversee catering admin including stock control and wastage, staffing needs for profitability. Compliance & Risk: Ensure 100% compliance with Waitrose Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies; on-call Duty Manager responsibilities during rota periods. Duty Management: Be accountable for the wider site during on-call periods. Desirable/Essential Skills: Supervisory experience in catering, food types expertise, commercial awareness of sales and wastage, leadership with the ability to support other departments, IT literacy for ordering systems. DBS checks may be required; pre-employment vetting can occur. Flexible working options discussed with hiring manager. DBS checks will be carried out by a third-party; financial probity checks may also be required for some roles.

Required Qualifications

  • Food Safety Level 3 (Desirable)
  • Experience supervising catering teams/kitchen brigades
  • IT literacy to manage administrative tasks and ordering systems
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team
