Job Summary
Lead the operation and development of the Chemistry and Stability department by scheduling team activities, conducting primary batch audits, and managing technical and data reviews. Support the resolution of quality issues, write and review exceptions, and lead root cause analysis, quality risk assessments, CAPA, and change controls. Oversee equipment calibration, qualification, and maintenance while writing and reviewing chemistry procedures, protocols, and reports. Support self-inspections, client audits, and regulatory inspections, and propose continuous improvements. Manage departmental forecasting, budgeting, and training delivery while mentoring team members and supporting the commercial team.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in life sciences
- GMP- or GLP-regulated environment experience
- Chemistry role experience
- Stability storage and/or testing experience
- Excellent understanding of GMP
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Demonstrates leadership skills
- Good judgement
- Ability to motivate others
- Excellent report writing and organisational skills
- Quality consciousness with the ability to consistently work to industry standards
- Positive, methodical, tenacious, and innovative approach to work
- Very strong problem solving skills
- Excellent technical knowledge and competencies in the required chemistry techniques
