Team Leader, DSD Warehouse

Team Leader in the DSD Warehouse leads and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in verifying/recording incoming/outgoing shipments, preparing items for receipt, shipment and storage. Responsibilities include studying shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices and orders to determine priorities and methods; overseeing shipping/receiving to ensure accuracy and condition of shipments; determining space requirements and layout for shipments; inspecting loading/unloading operations and material handling equipment; directing movement of shipments from the shipping/receiving platform to storage; issuing written/oral instructions; standardizing procedures to improve subordinates’ efficiency; maintaining harmony and resolving grievances; preparing composite/subordinate reports; participating in inventory accuracy programs; ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines (OSHA, FDA, PDA, DOT); meeting shift goals across safety, quality, cost, customer service, and people development; supervising 2+ employees and handling hiring/training; and performing other duties as required.
