Job Summary
Coordinate daily warehouse activities, develop teams, and optimize processes through Lean methodologies and Practical Process Improvement frameworks. Ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant handling of vital materials while maintaining strict adherence to cGMP, safety regulations, and quality standards. Collaborate across functions to maintain seamless operations, manage inventory through cycle counting, and lead cross-functional teams in a regulated environment. This role supports Thermo Fisher Scientific's mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer by driving continuous improvement in supply chain operations.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of warehouse operations experience, preferably in regulated environments
- 2+ years proven leadership experience managing teams
- Expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, safety regulations and quality management systems
- Forklift certification and ability to operate material handling equipment
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies like Lean/5S
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for leading teams and cross-functional collaboration
- Proven ability to analyze data and implement process improvements
- Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various temperature environments
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed
- Expertise in inventory management and cycle counting procedures
- Demonstrated success in developing and motivating teams
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation and regulatory compliance records
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field
- Advanced certifications in logistics, quality systems or Lean manufacturing beneficial
