Job Summary
Directs patient meal service and tray delivery for in-patient units, coordinating menu selections, tray assembly, and special requests for the Expressly for You Dining Service; supervises Dietary Aides and Hospitality Service Representatives, and assists with cafeteria grab-and-go items; collaborates with Registered Dietitian and Chef to ensure diet accommodations for allergies, cultural and religious preferences; maintains sanitation and food-service standards, participates in quality improvement activities, and trains staff in proper methods and safety.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent (desired)
- Minimum of six months comparable food services experience preferably in a health care or institutional setting
- Duties require ability to read and understand arithmetic and measures to report fluid intake and prepare enteral feedings
- Must be able to stand, walk 3-7 hours per day, squat/bend/twist 1-3 hours per day, and lift 10-35 lbs with good body mechanics
- Must be able to use both hands/wrists with moderate deviation/repetitions and perform work with gross dexterity and infrequent fine motor skills
- Near/far vision must be accurate at 20/40, have moderate depth perception
