Team Leader, Customer Site

Job Summary
Leads the daily supervision of a small on-site lab team within Unity Lab Services, overseeing service offerings such as order/stockroom/dock management, procurement, chemical tracking, glass wash, media/reagent preparation, and cell culture support. Responsible for end-to-end employee lifecycle activities (new hire selection, training needs, development training, and performance evaluations) and ensuring delivery of the contracted scope of work. Develops, tracks, and trends business metrics; collaborates with the Program/Regional Manager on performance reviews; acts as liaison between the customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific; coordinates onsite vendor escorting and customer visits. Writes and implements SOPs, conducts site audits, completes annual physical inventory, and identifies opportunities for service expansion. Provides capability reviews, supports the sales team, and drives Continuous Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives. Supports safety programs including hazard identification, inspections, and incident reporting/investigations; represents Thermo Fisher Scientific professionally at customer locations and participates in safety and compliance activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in managed services in a laboratory setting
- Experience in Good Laboratory Practice (GxP) environment
- IATA and U.S. DOT Hazardous Goods certifications or equivalent required
- Strong leadership and supervisory abilities
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to maintain lab inventory and reagent batch records
- Ability to work at customer sites and handle chemical-related safety requirements
