Job Summary
Team Leader for curbside-digital operations at Meijer in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations, mentors and coaches staff, and drives customer service and store sales while maintaining store standards. Responsible for staffing and hiring, implementing development plans and promotions decisions, and managing P&L with a focus on controlling shrink. Maintains a positive store image, ensures thorough training, and promotes safety and the Meijer Friendly Initiative. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of management experience, and 2-3 years in related retail roles with rotational assignments across departments (meat, bakery, produce, deli) to support customer service and product flow. Strong leadership, communication, conflict-resolution, multitasking, financial analysis, and training skills are essential, along with certifications as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- 2-3 years of related retail experience
- One year of management experience
- Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful
- Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members in the organization in a way that provides clear and precise direction
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and by addressing root cause issues
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions
- Demonstrated ability to teach suggestive selling
- Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members in all areas of the organization including SDITs, team members in hourly positions and team leaders
- Successful completion of all required certifications
