Job Summary
Evaluate and document conditions of bridges and other structures using agency-provided software or designated formats. Write comprehensive condition reports and coordinate with an Assistant Team Leader to ensure timely inspection completion. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members while effectively communicating with team members, clients, and subcontractors. This role requires a valid NYS or NJ PE license, recent bridge inspection experience with entities like NYSDOT or NYSTA, and the ability to perform field work in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Recent bridge inspection experience with NYSDOT, NYSTA, NYPA, NYSBA or similar
- NYS PE license
- NHI Bridge Safety Inspection Course or NYSDOT Bridge Inspection Workshop
- A Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Must physically be able to perform field inspection work, e.g., carry/climb ladders, wade in streams, work around traffic, work at heights, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be focused on providing quality work meeting technical guidelines
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
