Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install a wide variety of medical equipment and clinical systems. Perform preventive maintenance and document all work to meet regulatory and accreditation requirements. Evaluate malfunctioning equipment and recommend repairs or replacement when needed. Test and inspect new, leased, and loaned medical equipment before it is placed into service. Respond to equipment issues and participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service needs. Collaborate with clinical staff, leadership, vendors, and contractors to support projects and equipment installations. Maintain accurate records using our maintenance management system (TMS). Help ensure all equipment meets safety, operational, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or completion of a U.S. Military Biomedical Equipment Technology program
- CBET and AAMI certifications
- At least 5 years of biomedical equipment experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment, electronics, networking, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clinicians, vendors, and fellow team members
- A commitment to safety, quality, and exceptional customer service
